Rome is not known for its frothy suds, but rather wine and Italian fair. But, as we all know…the taste of a good ale, on a hot summer afternoon, is something that almost anyone, most certainly an Italian, can appreciate. So this summer, in the heat of a typical afternoon wandering through the streets of Rome, we were so happy to see “Bir and Fud”.

This packed street-side pub in Trastevere had on tap about 10 beers, mostly Italian brewed, and a wide selection, including some fine ales. And let’s just say that Italian classics like stuffed zucchini flowers go very nicely with a good IPA. So, beer drinkers, don’t despair in Rome!

From what we saw, this place can get quite crowded, and supposedly also has some of the best pizza in Rome.
