Merenda is one of the better places for trying new beers in Prague. This place has a restaurant upstairs and a pub downstairs, which between both the restaurant and pub, 8 different beers are available on tap. These beers change every week too, so you can always try something new. They always have a good variety-usually 2 svetly (light), one tmave (dark), and one polotmave (half light/dark). Their menu consists of a good variety of Czech food, and they also offer cheap lunch specials Monday thru Friday.
The restaurant upstairs is also smoke free, and the downstairs pub is smoker friendly. Merenda is located on Husitska street in Zizkov, close to Tachovske Namesti, and is definitely worth a visit. Next door you find Pivovarsky Dvur, which also is a good restaurant for beer and food. Before visiting this pub, check the current beer varieties on-line or call.
