U Sadu is a bar and restaurant located right by the TV tower, only a few minutes walk from Jiriho z Podebrad metro station.
U Sadu has a great variety of beers on tap and serves excellent Czech food, for a very reasonable price. For example they serve large portions of some very tasty pub food- like chicken wings, various kinds of cheese and klobasas, as well as typical Czech dishes like goulash. If you’re hungry late at night, they serve food until 2 a.m, and they deliver.
U Sadu is a great spot to watch sports events on one of their many TVs. If you want to try a new beer, this is a fantastic and convenient place to come, as they usually offer a special beer on tap either weekly or monthly, from a brewery in the Czech Republic. They also celebrate some special Czech holidays, and have special menus and drinks.
This place has two floors with the downstairs having more of a pub atmosphere with Foosball tables and the upstairs being more like a Czech restaurant, and you can order food on both. U Sadu is a perfect spot to drink beer before heading to clubs like Akropolis, which is in the same neighborhood. There is also a very pleasant street cafe in the summers, and free WiFi if you need to use your computer. Recently they’ve just added a large selection of bottled beer, from some of the most popular Czech breweries today.
